Our philosophy
Chronic pain is a DISEASE not just a SYMPTOM. Pain affects a person physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Using both time-tested and state of the art treatments like medications, injection procedures and rehabilitation; patients at The Idaho Pain Center have a variety of options. Our doctors graduated from US medical schools then added training at top pain fellowship programs. They are board certified in Pain Medicine, Anesthesiology, and Neurology.
As leaders in the community, the clinic has seen over 6000 patients since its inception, including caring for some people for nearly a decade. Referrals come from practitioners throughout the region but just as important, current patients refer their family and friends. We treat people, not just pain.
The goal is to determine the pain generator(s) if possible and eliminate or lessen its impact by looking at all aspects of a patient’s situation for a diagnosis. If being pain free is not a reasonable expectation, then the emphasis is on function and quality of life.
Careful patient education is the key to success. A comprehensive learning center is available to help people better understand their condition. An interactive website lets patients enter information, see test results, request prescriptions, and schedule appointments. While not an Emergency Room or a walk-in clinic, medical staff is available after hours for legitimate, urgent needs. A convenient in-house pharmacy is also available. If needed, a fully equipped Medicare/Medicaid/AAAHC accredited surgical facility is part of the clinic so that procedures are done efficiently, humanely, and cost-effectively. The approach is one of holistic, compassionate, respectful care.
